Hi, I’m Mia

I’m an illustrator based in Cape Town, living with my husband, our cat, and far too many books to fit on my shelves.

I studied Children’s Literature during my Honours degree and I am working on my Master’s in Visual Arts, focusing on children’s book illustration.

I’ve worked in children’s publishing as a publicist, and I’ve also been commissioned by publishers such as Pan Macmillan and Maskew Miller Learning, creating illustrations that bring stories to life for young readers.

Stories have always shaped both my career and my creative passions, and I enjoy making images that are detailed, colourful, and fun.
